This CNC Swiss Machinist / Setup opportunity supports onsite 1st and 2nd shift operations with a strong team culture, low turnover, and clear opportunities to learn and advance.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Mill Setup Machinist / Setup position include:
- Proven hands-on experience operating Star Swiss CNC machines, including setup capability (preferred) with tooling and offsets.
- Operate Star Swiss machines and maintain production quality by reading prints and following GD&T requirements.
- Set up Swiss equipment, including installing tooling and guide bushings/collets, performing touch-offs, and making offsets.
- Inspect precision parts using hand-held measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Troubleshoot machine/process issues during the shift and make appropriate adjustments without direct supervision.
- Monitor output to catch machine-related mistakes or defects and ensure required paperwork is completed.
- Maintain accurate records of approved and defective units and keep activity logs.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow health and safety regulations, including proper protective gear use.
Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 / Hour
