This CNC Machinist opportunity puts your setup and inspection skills to work on multi-axis milling and precision components supporting commercial marine equipment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist position include:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments (calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gages, bore gages, indicators).
- Strong ability to read drawings and specifications, with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
- Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
- Ability and willingness to train others in measurement, tooling, and problem solving.
- Responsible for setting up and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis milling center machines, including tool changes and resetting tool offsets as necessary.
- Perform in-process inspection, verify conformance, and report discrepancies of blueprint dimensions to management.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjust within capabilities, and report malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
Salary: $24-$35/hour
