In this Civil Department Manager opportunity in Centennial, CO, you’ll lead land development and public infrastructure work that moves from planning through construction support, while shaping both technical direction and department performance.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Department Manager position include:
- 15+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Project Manager
- Serve as the responsible Professional Engineer and technical leader across civil engineering projects
- Lead and supervise Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers while overseeing technical direction, staffing, backlog, utilization, budgets, billing, AR, scope control, margins, and department profitability
- Oversee land development and public infrastructure projects from planning and entitlement through design, permitting, bidding, and construction
- Provide technical direction for site development, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, roadway improvements, permitting, and construction support
- Maintain strong working relationships with cities, municipalities, public agencies, reviewing authorities, developers, and teaming partners
- Complete quality-control and constructability reviews for projects managed by peers
- Support business development by maintaining agency/developer relationships and assisting with proposal strategy, scope development, fee negotiations, interviews, and contract negotiations
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and project impact.
