This Assistant Maintenance Manager opportunity is hands-on, high-visibility, and built for an experienced industrial maintenance leader ready to step in and take full responsibility when the manager is away.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Assistant Maintenance Manager position include:
- Minimum 5 years repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military, plus at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Must have experience with 480 volts (high voltage).
- Oversees 7 mechanics, 6 porters, and 2 apprentices.
- Maintains preventive maintenance programs and monitors quality of repairs.
- Aids the maintenance team in diagnostic troubleshooting and supports time-sensitive response with urgency.
- Oversees building and physical plant repair issues and maintains porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and electrical components, pneumatic systems, steam systems, water systems, hydraulics, and building maintenance.
- Adheres to safety programs and can use basic hand tools properly and safely; ability to obtain and maintain proper licensing needed to legally operate specific plant machines (boiler license, etc.).
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
