Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician position include:
- HVAC/R training or hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, or related equipment; recent trade school graduates and experienced technicians are encouraged to apply.
- EPA certification is highly preferred, and CFESA certification is a plus, but neither is required; additional training and certification opportunities are provided.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and restaurant food-service equipment.
- Experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment, including hot-side cooking equipment, is a plus but not required.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, identify necessary repairs, and provide dependable service to chain restaurants and commercial food-service customers.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and safely operate a company-provided fleet vehicle while dispatching directly from home to customer locations.
- Work a flexible field-service schedule that may include occasional late days, longer-distance service calls, and participation in an on-call rotation, with overtime opportunities available.
- Communicate professionally with customers, maintain accurate service records, and demonstrate a willingness to learn new equipment, troubleshooting techniques, and field-service technology.
Salary: $20 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications, plus paid drive time, overtime opportunities, and commission options.
