Bring your electro-mechanical expertise to an opportunity delivering advanced automated battery manufacturing equipment across the United States and internationally. This Service Technicians role is based in Geneva, IL, with significant training and hands-on commissioning work that helps customers get their systems up and running with confidence.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Service Technicians position include:
- 3+ years of experience in field service, installation, or commissioning of automated industrial equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting, including ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control faults.
- Basic understanding of PLC machine controls, particularly Allen-Bradley (PLC programming preferred).
- Confident use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and Vernier calipers, with strong attention to detail (including comfort with metric measurements).
- Install and commission equipment at customer sites, modify parts and assemblies using hand and power tools, and train operators and maintenance teams.
- Produce clear written reports and provide regular updates to TBS UK, while following all health and safety procedures and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k), 15 vacation days plus 2 personal days; additional time off through long-service awards at 5- and 10-year milestones; medical plan: BCBS Blue Options Platinum PPO, $500 individual/$1,000 family in-network deductible, $2,000/$4,000 in-network out-of-pocket maximum, $10 primary care and $20 specialist copays (plan valid through November 30, 2026; renewal details not confirmed).
