An exciting opportunity is available for a Project Coordinator – Compliance Focus in Chicago, IL, with an established and growing general contractor specializing in construction projects, including affordable housing and government-funded developments! This stable company offers a friendly, collaborative work environment, an average employee tenure of over seven years, and a fantastic opportunity to develop specialized expertise in construction compliance while working alongside an experienced project management team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Coordinator – Compliance Focus position include:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, compliance administration, or a related field; high school diploma or GED required, with a related degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, and Davis-Bacon requirements is required.
- Experience with government-funded construction projects, including IHDA, HUD, or similar compliance programs, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Sage construction accounting software preferred; familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and electronic document management systems beneficial.
- Review subcontractor certified payroll submissions for accuracy, identify discrepancies, track compliance deadlines, and coordinate necessary corrections with subcontractors.
- Manage compliance documentation, maintain accurate records, and coordinate submissions through IHDA, HUD, and other government agency portals.
- Support subcontractor administration, including lien waivers, insurance certificates, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Coordinate project closeout documentation, maintain organized project records, and communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
