Build your future with a close-knit engineering firm delivering Commercial, Forensic, and Residential structural solutions across the Charlotte–Mooresville–Statesville corridor. This Director of Structural Engineering opportunity in Statesville blends hands-on design with technical review and leadership—so you can directly shape projects and help build a structural team. This role only requires you to be in office one day per week giving you incredible flexibility.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Structural Engineering position include:
- 7+ years of post-PE structural engineering experience preferred; commercial structural experience required
- PE required (North Carolina PE preferred; open to someone who can obtain NC licensure)
- Proficient in Revit highly preferred; AutoCAD acceptable (must have one)
- Experience leading/mentoring engineers and reviewing or checking engineering work
- Strong technical judgment and ability to multi-task across multiple projects
- Ability to design structural solutions for unique obstacles and modify drawings to comply with codes and accepted engineering practices
- Prepare and develop detailed AutoCAD construction drawings and details (from field notes or modified plans)
- Prepare forensic reports and support inspections and site assessments as needed
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year plus large bonus incentive and profit sharing that could bring you up to $180k+
