This Resident Engineer opportunity in Chico, CA blends on-site leadership with strong documentation, project controls, and owner’s representation—so your expertise directly shapes successful outcomes.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Resident Engineer position include:
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including experience leading local, state and federally funded transportation contracts in Northern California.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in California (Registered Professional Engineer in California).
- BS in Construction Management, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
- Provide owner’s representative support by attending and running client and contractor meetings.
- Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance and respond with project documentation (letters, RFI/submittal responses, change orders, etc.).
- Oversee field inspection activities and supervise project inspection teams and office engineering, inspection, and materials testing.
- Maintain project controls, including cost and schedule management, and provide technical guidance and quality assurance.
- Serve as a liaison with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, design professionals, public involvement, and regulatory agencies.
Salary: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
