Bring your CAD skills to a high-demand mining equipment fabrication environment in Phoenix/Apache Junction, AZ where your designs directly support heavy equipment built for real-world performance. In this CAD Technician / CAD Designer opportunity, you’ll work in a busy CAD department focused on custom mining equipment, conveyors, crushing systems, and fabricated components.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAD Designer/CAD Technician position include:
- Experienced CAD candidate preferred for Phoenix/Apache Junction
- Create and modify 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
- Produce fabrication and shop drawings after design approval
- Support custom mining equipment, conveyors, crushing equipment, diverter gates, and related fabrication projects
- Work directly with welders, machinists, and shop personnel to clarify drawings and design intent
- Assist with CNC-related programming, nesting, burn table, water jet, or fabrication workflow as needed
- Support redesign and reverse engineering of existing equipment or parts
- Participate in occasional scanning or field measurement work when needed
Salary: $30/hr - $50/hr, commensurate with experience.
