Head of Engineering — Structural is a fully remote, high-autonomy leadership opportunity with a manufactured home inspection and certification platform backed by major business leaders and institutional investors. You’ll be the technical face of the company, directly supporting a national inspector network and applying your PE license to help scale engineering operations with real customer impact. If you’re a PE who has done their time at a private engineering firm, enjoys entrepreneurial environments, and wants long-term ownership potential, this is the role to own.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Head Of Engineering - Structural position include:
- Serve as the primary engineering resource for the inspector network by fielding inbound calls and providing real-time guidance on manufactured home inspections and HUD compliance
- Review inspection documentation and site data, and issue PE-stamped certifications for manufactured home inspections
- Lead inspector network customer success strategy to better support inspectors navigating the certification process
- Drive timely completion of engineering certifications while maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Work with leadership to build and refine engineering processes, workflows, and inspector education resources as the platform scales
- Pursue and maintain PE licensure across 40–50 states through a structured, company-supported program
- Support business development by serving as a credible technical voice in client and partner relationships
- Provide accessible, responsive support that builds trust through real conversations
Salary: $140,000-$165,000+ base
