Description
CNC Machinist/Programmer opportunity in Taylor, MI with a busy, family-owned precision manufacturing shop known for high retention, long-tenured team members, and close access to leadership. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist who enjoys setting up, operating, and programming modern CNC equipment in a fast-paced environment with steady, meaningful work.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer/Operator position include:
- Set up and operate CNC mills (3-axis, 4-axis, and 3+2 axis)
- Program, edit, and optimize G-code (Fusion 360 and SolidWorks experience a plus)
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
- Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMM/Faro Arm
- Load/unload materials, change tools, and maintain machines
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust offsets as needed
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on prototypes and production runs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Salary: $30-$40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
