A growing HVAC contractor is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician in Essex, MA, offering a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role with real potential to move into operations as the company expands. This company specializes primarily in residential HVAC service with light commercial work, focusing heavily on heat pumps and mini-splits while also servicing conventional systems such as furnaces, air conditioning, and boilers.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead HVAC Service Technician position include:
- 5+ years of HVAC/R service technician experience with strong mechanical knowledge.
- EPA Universal certification required.
- Strong proficiency with heat pumps and mini-splits required.
- Experience servicing furnaces, air conditioning systems, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
- Primarily perform HVAC service and maintenance with some installation work.
- Ability to lead as the primary service technician and mentor others in the field.
- Sheet metal experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to pass a motor vehicle check; background/drug screen may be required.
Salary: $35 - $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health insurance, paid time off, end-of-year bonus, company van, company truck, tools provided, Monday-Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM, no on-call work, and the ability to be dispatched from the office or from home when appropriate.
