An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Landscape Architect & Land Planner in Burtonsville, MD with a reputable firm known for creating practical, functional, and innovative land planning, engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture solutions. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team with more than 30 years of experience guiding residential, mixed-use, and public projects from concept through completion.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Landscape Architect & Land Planner position include:
- 10+ years of landscape architecture and land planning experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Land Planning, Urban Design, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of entitlements, zoning regulations, permitting, approvals, and land development processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, SketchUp, GIS, and visualization/rendering software preferred
- Lead planning and landscape architecture projects including conceptual land plans, site layouts, master plans, streetscapes, planting plans, and amenity designs
- Manage projects from initial client consultation through construction implementation while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Supervise and mentor junior landscape architects, land planners, and design staff
- Attend client meetings, public hearings, and coordinate with municipalities and regulatory agencies
Salary: Approximately $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
