Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Process & Product Development Engineer – Pultrusion Manufacturing in Holland, OH with a rapidly growing fiberglass reinforced polymer manufacturer known for its flexible, hands-on culture, strong work-life balance, and heavy exposure to custom engineered R&D projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with pultrusion experience who wants to make a direct impact across product development, process optimization, manufacturing troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a collaborative, smaller-company environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Process & Product Development Engineer – Pultrusion Manufacturing position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, product development, continuous improvement, or related technical work
- Pultrusion experience required, with composites manufacturing, FRP, reinforced plastics, resin systems, and fiber reinforcement experience preferred
- Lead development and implementation of new pultruded fiberglass products, materials, profiles, and manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to resin systems, fiber wet-out, die performance, cure control, line efficiency, defects, and variation
- Support R&D, trials, testing, validation, process documentation, operating standards, and new product launches
- Lead lean manufacturing, process improvement, scrap reduction, waste elimination, root cause analysis, and cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Quality Control, R&D, and management as a technical resource
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
