Join a nationally recognized environmental construction firm as a Senior Civil Estimator in Winston-Salem, NC, where you will lead preconstruction efforts on impactful civil, stream, and wetland restoration projects. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Estimator position include:
- 7-10+ years of estimating experience in civil/sitework construction utilizing HCSS Heavy Bid and ideally HeavyJob
- Degree or certification preferred, along with strong field experience or a deep understanding of field execution
- Advanced proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office 365; Primavera experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, utilities, horizontal civil site work, and site development, with stream restoration or wetland mitigation experience preferred
- Lead assigned estimates from concept through final bid submission, including full plan, spec, and bid document review
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost development across grading, utilities, and restoration scopes while identifying gaps, overlaps, and risk exposure
- Solicit and level subcontractor bids, develop estimate assumptions, clarifications, and exclusions, and maintain accurate pricing backup documentation
- Coordinate with operations for a clean handoff, attend site and pre-bid meetings, and produce estimates that hold up in the field
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
