Description
Join a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer as a CNC Machinist / Programmer in Boonton, NJ, where you will play a visible, hands-on role in producing precision acrylic components for major defense programs. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist / Programmer position include:
- 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience
- Mastercam experience with the ability to generate toolpaths from a 3D model through post-processing
- CNC controller experience, with Fanuc experience preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
- Operate two Fanuc CNC mills across production runs, including setup, running, and monitoring jobs with minimal supervision
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs in Mastercam and at the controller using G-code and M-code fundamentals
- Perform in-process quality checks and document results in accordance with AS9100D procedures
- Contribute to tooling, fixturing, cycle time improvements, and design-for-manufacturability feedback
Salary: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
