Join a fast-growing commercial construction firm as a Commercial Construction Carpenter based in Baltimore, Maryland, with the flexibility to live anywhere if you are willing to travel. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly specialized builder that supports healthcare, radiology, outpatient, and imaging facility projects nationwide, backed by long-standing relationships with major medical equipment manufacturers and a strong pipeline of repeat business.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Construction Carpenter position include:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial carpentry experience in new construction or renovation
- Read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, layout equipment, and measurement verification
- Working knowledge of building codes and OSHA 10 requirements; OSHA 30 preferred
- Ability to work from heights on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
- Install metal stud framing, drywall systems, doors, door hardware, suspended ceilings, blocking, and architectural finishes
- Coordinate with other trades, identify field conflicts, and maintain project quality and schedule
- Maintain safety standards, clean work areas, and perform work in active healthcare construction environments
Salary: $35 - $50/hr, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 100% individual medical coverage through BCBS, company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, PTO of 1 week that is negotiable, discretionary end-of-year bonus, $59/day food per diem, and either a company vehicle or mileage reimbursement plus a gas card.
