Description
Work on real-world wood-framed and post-frame projects with a small, collaborative structural engineering team supporting builders across 40+ states. Based in Dover, Delaware, this Wood Post-Frame Structural Engineer opportunity blends hands-on structural design with high-impact plan review and technical guidance in a fast-moving construction environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Wood Post-Frame Structural Engineer position include:
- Structural engineering experience designing wood-framed buildings (residential and light-commercial).
- Hands-on design experience with post-frame, pole-building, or comparable wood structural systems.
- Experience reviewing structural calculations and drawings prepared by other engineers or designers.
- Ability to review and verify structural drawings, details, and project documentation for accuracy and code compliance.
- Strong technical skills to redline work and provide clear engineering direction.
- Experience supporting projects involving post-frame buildings, pole buildings, Morton-style buildings, barndominiums, footings, slabs, and related structural systems.
- Active PE license is highly preferred; EIT candidates will be considered.
- Qualified licensed engineers may sign, seal, and approve plans
- Ability to work fully remote
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
