A growing and highly respected structural engineering firm in Port Charlotte, Florida is seeking a Structural Project Engineer for an exciting early-career opportunity with strong mentorship and long-term growth potential. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Project Engineer position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; support structural projects from design through construction
- 0–4 years of structural engineering experience, including internship experience for new graduates; contribute to design and production efforts across multiple project types
- EIT required or actively pursuing; ideal for someone on the path toward PE licensure
- Exposure to building design is required; assist with structural systems involving concrete, masonry, structural steel, light gauge steel, and wood
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit; help prepare drawings, calculations, and design documents
- Basic structural analysis experience; support engineering work in compliance with applicable building codes and standards
- Strong communication and coordination skills; collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and internal team members
- Ability to assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site visits, inspections, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 2 weeks PTO, 11 paid holidays, office closure around Christmas and New Year, a 401(k) with 3% match vested after 1 month, and a $5,200 annual health insurance contribution.
