Description
Bring your structural design expertise to a Pittsburgh-based engineering firm delivering high-impact work across commercial facilities and critical infrastructure. In this Structural Engineer - PE opportunity, you’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to create high-quality, code-compliant designs while serving clients with responsiveness and care. This hybrid role offers flexible typical work hours with a structured Wednesday–Friday schedule.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer - PE position include:
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5 to 10 years of experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.)
- Experience in the design and detailing of steel, wood, concrete and masonry structures
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, plus structural design software such as RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, and/or STAADPro
- Ability to develop specifications and review shop drawings
- Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff; provide project-specific technical information to the PM for project specs
- Visit project sites as appropriate, maintain positive client relationships, and represent the company in meetings and presentations
Salary: $110K-$140K per year plus profit-sharing bonus, commensurate with experience.
