Join a growing electronics manufacturing operation as an SMT Process Engineering Manager in Pharr, TX, where you will have the opportunity to lead process improvements, elevate quality, and make a visible impact on a rapidly expanding operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong SMT leader who enjoys driving yield improvements, developing teams, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on advanced electronic assemblies.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this SMT Process Engineering Manager position include:
- 7+ years of SMT process engineering experience, including 2–3 years in leadership or team lead roles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor process engineers and build a culture of continuous improvement
- Hands-on expertise in solder paste printing, pick & place, reflow profiling, and inspection systems including SPI, AOI, and AXI
- Proven success driving yield improvements, defect reduction, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using 8D, DMAIC, or similar methodologies
- Proficiency with SPC tools, MSA, process capability analysis, control plans, and Cpk metrics
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001; CIS or CIT certification is a plus
- Ability to support cross-functional teams including quality, production, supply chain, and NPI while communicating process performance clearly to leadership and customers
- Passport readiness and ability to travel between Pharr, TX and Mexico as needed
Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
