Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator in Idaho Falls, Idaho with a long-standing heavy civil construction and materials company backed by the strength of a global building materials network. This vertically integrated team produces its own sand, rock, aggregates, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete while also self-performing major paving and infrastructure work, offering strong cost control, steady backlog, and the stability to bid large-scale DOT, highway, freeway, and municipal projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Estimator position include:
- 5-10 years of construction estimating experience in heavy civil, DOT, Federal Highway, city, or state municipality work
- Asphalt and paving estimating experience with the ability to bid large road, highway, and freeway projects
- Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Experience with Bid2Win/B2W, takeoff software, spreadsheets, CADD files, and estimating/bidding tools
- Prepare detailed estimates through takeoffs, cost history, supplier pricing, and coordination with field personnel
- Independently estimate projects ranging from $1 million to $25 million and lead larger estimates of $25 million or greater with a team
- Communicate bid details, reports, and awarded project information to field personnel and management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, safety procedures, and project requirements
Salary: Highly competitive base pay, commensurate with experience.
