This Project Engineer opportunity in Apex, NC supports the planning, engineering, execution, documentation, and successful delivery of industrial process cleaning projects with a strong focus on compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Engineer position include:
- 1-5+ years of experience in project engineering, process engineering, industrial services, commissioning, validation, or related industries.
- Develop project-specific cleaning protocols, work instructions, flow path diagrams, and execution plans based on customer specifications.
- Review, interpret, and mark up P&IDs to define circuit boundaries, flow paths, isolation points, equipment tie-ins, and cleaning sequences.
- Support engineering reviews, constructability assessments, and technical planning meetings; identify project risks and recommend solutions.
- Provide engineering support during field execution of passivation, derouging, oxygen cleaning, sanitization, biofilm removal, and other specialty cleaning services.
- Verify proper installation and configuration of temporary piping, hoses, pumps, filtration systems, and instrumentation; participate in project startup, commissioning, and closeout.
- Prepare and maintain GDP-compliant project documentation, including protocols, field execution packages, logs, calibration records, inspection reports, deviation reports, change controls, and final project reports.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications; maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF markup software, and document management systems (CAD is a plus).
Salary: $75k-$150k per year, commensurate with experience.
