A well-established landscape company in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Plant Specialist & Customer Service Coordinator to join its fully on-site team. This is a unique opportunity for a plant-savvy customer service professional to combine horticultural knowledge, vendor coordination, administrative support, and landscape operations while receiving hands-on training from the current employee transitioning toward retirement.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Plant Specialist & Customer Service Coordinator position include:
• Approximately 2-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a garden center, nursery, greenhouse, landscape company, or horticultural environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by answering calls, greeting clients, qualifying leads, scheduling consultations, and managing department communications.
• Purchase plants, materials, and supplies while coordinating with wholesale plant brokers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain customer records, project information, material pricing, and job tracking details in Manage360.
• Support landscape operations by preparing job packets, creating lead folders, maintaining production schedules, and tracking punch-list items.
• Coordinate plant availability, deliveries, substitutions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and project closeout communications.
• Assist with administrative support including company events, uniforms, inspections, compliance tracking, department records, and meetings.
• Valid Driver’s License, strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fully on-site role required.
Salary: $45,000 - $48,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
