Step into hands-on engineering at a specialized manufacturer designing and building custom ultra-high vacuum and deposition equipment with real-world impact. In this Mechanical Engineer opportunity, you’ll help take projects from concept to installation at a manufacturing facility in Eden Prairie, MN, working alongside a small, highly technical team that values long-term contributions.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Engineer position include:
- 8-10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Strong SolidWorks experience and mechanical design background
- Design for manufacturing experience and ability to modify/improve existing designs
- Hands-on manufacturing floor support: assemble, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and resolve shop-floor issues
- Project leadership skills to coordinate across purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering from beginning to end
- Comfort working directly with customers’ requirements and supporting installations/execution
- Mechanical aptitude and independent troubleshooting capability
- Experience with ultra-high vacuum (UHV) and/or deposition equipment is a plus (training available for strong mechanical fundamentals)
Salary: $120,000-$160,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
