Build your future exploring distant planetary bodies with a mission-driven team building reliable electric rover vehicles and ground support equipment from the ground up. In this Lead Computing Electrical Engineer opportunity, you’ll help lead advanced computing and GNC hardware development while staying deeply hands-on in a collaborative Avionics organization based in Hawthorne, CA.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead Computing Electrical Engineer position include:
- 10+ years of power, digital, and analog electronics design experience, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing; 2+ years managing direct reports.
- Own Computing and GNC hardware subsystems including architecture, requirements, design, analysis, testing, delivery, and operation.
- Lead a Computing Electrical Engineering team of 5+ people in delivering vehicle computers, networking, clocking, GNC sensors, servo controllers, and other mixed signal electronics.
- Support Computing Engineering direct reports through technical work, performance evaluations, and career growth.
- Own mixed signal PCBA development from clean sheet to flight.
- Develop PCBA requirements, architectures, and con-ops in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout of power, digital, and analog circuit PCBAs using Altium Designer.
- Design analysis and verification testing including unit design verification, qualification testing, and system integration testing.
Salary: $169K-$190K+ per year, commensurate with experience.
