Description
Lead high-impact infrastructure projects that power industries and shape communities! We are seeking a Heavy Civil Operations Project Manager to oversee large-scale industrial and utility construction projects ranging from $2M to $20M+. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex heavy civil work—including data centers, substations, manufacturing facilities, and power delivery projects—while driving safety, productivity, and financial performance in dynamic field environments.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil Operations Project Manager position include:
- 10+ years of heavy civil or industrial construction experience; manage mass earthwork, underground utilities, and equipment foundations
- Proven experience with mass grading, storm/sewer/water utilities, duct banks, structural concrete, and industrial site development
- Lead project planning, scheduling, execution, and field coordination across multiple concurrent work fronts
- Direct superintendents, foremen, and crews; monitor production rates, equipment utilization, and sequencing of civil activities
- Own full project P&L including cost codes, job cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management
- Maintain and update project schedules (MS Project or equivalent); develop recovery plans for schedule impacts
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; promote safety accountability across excavation and heavy equipment operations
- Proficiency in job cost and schedule management software; experience with Sage 300 CRE or similar ERP systems preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent experience accepted); OSHA 30+ preferred
Salary: $135,000 - $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
