Join a well-established and progressive engineering consulting firm as a Geotechnical Engineer in Poca, West Virginia, where you will play a key role in supporting a growing backlog of specialized projects across bridge work, land development sites, subsurface investigations, repair design, and geotechnical analysis. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Geotechnical Engineer position include:
- Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering; MS preferred
- WV Professional Engineering License preferred; candidates close to licensure will be considered
- 5 to 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Execute geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish, primarily focused on design with some project management responsibilities
- Develop field exploration and laboratory testing plans and coordinate/manage field investigations
- Sample and log soils and rock, perform engineering analysis, and prepare geotechnical engineering reports
- Review foundation and grading plans for conformance with geotechnical reports while tracking budgets and schedules
- Utilize CADD, Microsoft Office, and handheld GPS units while collaborating with civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers
Salary: $60,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
