A precision manufacturing company producing highly engineered industrial components is seeking a CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist in Dover, NJ! This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growing custom manufacturing environment where your CNC programming, setup, troubleshooting, and machining expertise will help produce complex, high-quality parts and tooling.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist position include:
- Experience with CNC programming, machine setup, machining operations, troubleshooting, tooling adjustments, offsets, and program edits.
- Experience working with up to 3-axis CNC mills and/or lathes required.
- Okuma CNC experience required; Haas, Doosan, Fadal, or similar CNC platform experience preferred.
- Mastercam or CAD/CAM programming experience preferred.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding methods while supporting prototype, custom, and low-volume machining projects.
- Conduct first article inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tooling, process improvements, custom manufacturing solutions, documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Salary: $30 - $45/hour, commensurate with experience.
