Qualifications and responsibilities for this Asphalt/Concrete Estimator position include:
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with specific expertise in concrete and asphalt.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates for concrete work.
- Calculate costs of labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
- Prepare and present bid proposals in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain cost databases and stay current with market trends in pricing and construction methods.
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
