Description
Bring your CNC and manufacturing expertise to a hands-on, customer-facing role in Tallmadge, OH where you’ll help drive precision cutting outcomes through real-world waterjet applications. This Applications Specialist opportunity focuses on CNC waterjet cutting systems, combining programming, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and training to support customers from trials through installation.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Application Specialist position include:
- 3+ years of experience working with industrial machinery, CNC equipment, machining, fabrication, or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong CNC programming and CAD/CAM workflow knowledge, including interpreting engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Set up, program, operate, and demonstrate waterjet cutting systems.
- Develop and optimize cutting parameters (pressure, abrasive flow, feed rates, pierce strategies, toolpath strategies) to improve quality and productivity.
- Conduct customer material trials, test cuts, cut-quality evaluations, and production time studies; document results and recommendations.
- Create and optimize CAD/CAM programs using waterjet programming.
- Troubleshoot waterjet cutting, programming, application, and process-related issues; provide remote application assistance as needed.
- Deliver hands-on customer training and demonstrations for operators, programmers, engineers, and other customer personnel.
Salary: $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Relocation is open to candidates. This role is full-time and on-site in Tallmadge, OH, with occasional flexibility in working hours to support demonstrations, trials, training, installations, and events.
