Description

An Account Manager opportunity is available in Montclair, CA with a growing construction distribution business that supplies major home improvement retailers, distributors, independent dealers, and national retail partners. This is an exciting chance to join a lean, collaborative, relationship-driven organization with approximately $100 million in annual revenue, strong big-box retail partnerships, and long-term growth potential toward leadership opportunities.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Account Manager position include:

  • 5+ years of experience in distribution serving national retail chain stores, with experience in construction tools, industrial tools, hardware, building materials, or power tool accessories strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with major big-box retailers such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, or similar retail channels is strongly preferred.
  • Strong account management, customer service, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required; design software experience is a plus.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with large customer accounts while supporting revenue growth and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with buyers for major retail customers to negotiate pricing, discounts, product line expansions, and commercial terms.
  • Lead initiatives to launch new products, brands, and product line expansions into the market.
  • Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry-related events while working closely with internal teams and retail partners.

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 per year plus bonus, commensurate with experience.
