Bring your technical sales expertise to a fast-growing advanced materials business with global engineering support and real impact in demanding aerospace and defense machining applications. In this Key Accounts Manager – Advanced Materials role, you’ll drive new business growth while working closely with engineers to solve complex cutting and tooling challenges. This is a remote position requiring candidates to be based in an approved state near a major international airport, with heavy travel across the U.S. and occasional international trips.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Key Accounts Manager – Advanced Materials position include:
- Proven technical sales and new business development experience in aerospace, defense, composites, advanced materials, CNC machining, precision cutting tools, or closely related manufacturing technologies.
- Established book of business and industry relationships to open doors and generate new opportunities (with no inherited accounts).
- True hunter mindset with comfort building a territory from scratch through prospecting and account development.
- Technical manufacturing sales capability: qualify leads, understand customer manufacturing challenges, and communicate effectively with engineers and production teams.
- Machining knowledge to review drawings, discuss cutting tools and CNC machining applications, and speak credibly about materials and production challenges (LEUCO’s engineering team provides deeper support).
- Ability to run tooling evaluations and trials that demonstrate advantages in tool life, cut quality, and productivity.
- Consultative approach to improve efficiency and lower total cost of ownership.
- Comfort traveling approximately 70–80%, including international travel, while reporting and planning for Tuesday–Friday travel patterns.
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Medical insurance with employer contributions toward employee and dependent coverage; dental and vision available; FSA/HSA options; 401(k) plan; company vehicle or car allowance (approximately $600); fuel card, company cell phone, laptop, and necessary work equipment; five days of PTO during the first year under the standard policy, accruing after 90 days (flexibility may be available for experienced hires); company closure between Christmas and New Year's; birthday off; and initial training in Villa Rica, Georgia, for approximately one week.
