This Assembly Shop Manager opportunity puts you at the center of building complete environmental systems and skids while leading a small, hands-on assembly team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Assembly Shop Manager position include:
- 5-8+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, including 3+ years of shop-floor supervisory or management experience.
- Hands-on mechanical experience with industrial equipment, piping, pumps, electrical components, skids, and similar assemblies.
- Comfort directly managing five assembly employees while assisting with material handling, inventory, and production support as needed.
- Ability to interpret 3D assembly drawings, bills of materials, and other project documentation.
- Direct daily production queues, workflow, scheduling, staffing, work prioritization, and resource allocation to maintain equipment throughput.
- Enforce safety, maintain shop organization, and oversee first-piece and final quality inspections.
- Receive and inspect material; coordinate shipping, packaging, and loading information for carriers.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and support cycle counts and full physical inventory audits, helping improve inventory tracking as the company moves toward an ERP/MRP system.
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
