Description
Build your future improving real-world manufacturing performance at a facility known for modernization and continuous improvement—based in Mebane, NC with project support at other locations. This Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer opportunity brings hands-on technical ownership to capital and improvement work that strengthens reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer position include:
- 7+ years of electrical/controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required; 10+ years preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field required.
- Own and execute electrical and controls projects, including planning, budgeting, and implementation.
- Manage automation upgrades, equipment integration, process control enhancements, and infrastructure modifications from planning through execution.
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain PLC and HMI programs across the facility, including troubleshooting.
- Work with industrial controls and automation equipment such as drives, sensors, power distribution, and industrial networks/protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and EHS; coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Be present on the production floor to identify opportunities and provide hands-on technical support to resolve automation and controls issues.
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
