Take on a high-impact manufacturing role in Huntington Beach, supporting environmentally oriented materials while working on the night shift in a hands-on production environment. In this Production Technician I opportunity, you’ll help set up equipment, monitor production, and ensure quality and safety from batch prep through clean-in-place.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Production Technician I position include:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Set up production equipment and prepare batches per established recipes, measuring, mixing, and loading media into reactors/tanks or other equipment
- Monitor and adjust the fermentation process using HMI (human-machine interface) systems to meet production goals
- Process fermentation slurry to a purified state while ensuring product meets established quality standards
- Perform in-process testing in a laboratory setting and accurately input batch records, logs, and data into computer systems
- Follow CIP (clean-in-place) protocols to keep equipment clean and operational
- Handle production chemicals, participate in chemical spill/leak response, and use appropriate chemical-rated PPE; participate in the Chemical Response Team and complete required HAZWOPER refresher training
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues or escalate problems during plant operations; safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and bucket lifts as needed
Salary: $23.00–$23.50/hour; non-exempt; holiday work paid at holiday rate.
Benefits: Medical/dental/vision and other plans after 30 days; 15 company holidays; 80 hours vacation; 60 hours sick time; 401(k).
