Description
Bring your industrial warp-knitting expertise to a climate-controlled facility in Stearns, Kentucky, where specialized defense-textile manufacturing meets a low-turnover, highly tenured culture. In this Knitting Technician opportunity, you’ll directly support day-to-day production by stabilizing equipment, troubleshooting issues, optimizing knitting parameters, and helping develop machine operators.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Knitting Technician position include:
- 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Substantial hands-on experience with industrial warp-knitting equipment, with direct KARL MAYER experience strongly preferred (highly comparable machinery experience considered).
- Working knowledge of Tricot and/or Raschel processes.
- Ability to perform machine setup and adjust knit-pattern parameters using job-sheet specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and independent problem-solving for equipment and process issues, including responding to production stops.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, quality control, and beam changes.
- Ability to optimize knitting parameters to improve quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Experience training and developing machine operators while reinforcing workplace safety, quality standards, and good manufacturing practices.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, maximum approximately $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Up to 10% annual bonus eligibility; medical, dental, and vision coverage after 60 days; 401(k) match up to 4% after one year; vacation benefits that increase with tenure; and one personal day during the employee’s birthday month.
