Step into a small, collaborative manufacturing environment where your work directly supports production uptime and continuous improvement. In this Maintenance Lead Technician opportunity, you’ll lead daily equipment and facility maintenance from our Union City, CA location in the San Francisco Bay Area while driving mechanical and electrical upgrades that improve performance and reduce costs.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Maintenance Lead Technician position include:
- Minimum 5-7 years (or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience); minimum 5 years of maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance experience preferred.
- Able to use a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting; understand motor controls; program VFD/drive; and understand basic PLC logic controls.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Prior food experience desired.
- Bilingual English-Spanish helpful.
- Respond to production operation maintenance calls and ensure equipment is in good working order to support production and quality.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment; complete assigned work orders and maintenance calls in a timely manner.
- Order and maintain parts inventory for assigned equipment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while adhering to safety requirements.
Salary: $51/hr (union pay)
