Bring your hydraulic and fluid-power expertise to a fast-moving, customer-focused technical support environment in Vandalia, OH, where your recommendations directly impact real equipment and real outcomes. In this Hydraulic Application Engineer opportunity, you’ll serve as a go-to subject matter expert—supporting Sales, Customer Experience, Engineering, suppliers, and customers with hydraulic application guidance, product selection, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Hydraulic Application Engineer position include:
- 3+ years of experience supporting, designing, applying, or troubleshooting hydraulic and fluid power systems (5-10 years preferred)
- Review customer requirements, interpret hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings, and recommend properly sized components and system configurations
- Provide application engineering and product support for pumps, valves, cylinders, hydraulic motors, filtration, accumulators, manifolds, power units/HPUs, hose, fittings, and related hydraulic products
- Troubleshoot hydraulic system performance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with quotes, product selection, technical documentation, and bill of materials (BOM) review
- Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers on complex or custom customer applications
- Support startup/implementation and resolve technical issues as needed
- Deliver technical product training and maintain application guides, documentation, and knowledge base content
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
