This CNC 5-Axis Setup Machinist opportunity is onsite and focused on complex multi-axis milling setups with modern Matsuura equipment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC 5-Axis Setup Machinist position include:
- 5+ years of CNC setup experience, including strong 5-axis/multi-axis milling setup background.
- Set up CNC 5-axis and multi-axis milling machines for production.
- Read and work with G-code, geometric tolerancing, and precision machining requirements.
- Perform complex machine setups involving large tooling configurations (primarily Matsuura equipment, including MAM72 machines).
- Ensure setups support accurate, efficient production of tight-tolerance components.
- Troubleshoot setup-related issues and apply strong hands-on machining knowledge.
- Maintain quality standards in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Work closely with machinists and engineers to support production requirements (programming/editing knowledge is beneficial; engineering generally handles programming).
Salary: $30-$38 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skill.
