Bring your Civil 3D skills to a fast-growing, close-knit engineering team in the Atlanta area, where you’ll support high-impact projects across the verticals that keep things moving. This CAD Technician – Ground Improvement opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to contribute to real deliverables while building a long-term path toward becoming a CAD Designer.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAD Technician – Ground Improvement position include:
- 2–3 years of professional CAD drafting experience, with a strong focus on Civil 3D.
- Working proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience supporting earthwork, grading, shoring, foundations, utilities, or similar ground-improvement/civil projects.
- Ability to read civil drawings and construction plans.
- Capable of updating drawings based on engineer redlines.
- Experience performing takeoffs from PDFs or construction drawings is strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable learning from engineers and senior CAD staff.
- Willingness to grow from CAD Technician into CAD Designer over time.
Salary: $25–$35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Health insurance is covered at approximately 80% of the cost for the employee and family, along with a 6% 401(k) match, 10 days of PTO, and 5 sick days. Hybrid work schedule after training period.
