Build your future with a global operational technology and engineering services leader delivering technically complex projects across the mining, mineral processing, and heavy industrial space. Based in Tucson, this Senior Instrumentation And Controls Engineer opportunity gives you end-to-end ownership across the I&C lifecycle, from front-end engineering and detailed design through commissioning and site execution. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers across global offices while helping shape local and international project delivery.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Instrumentation And Controls Engineer position include:
- 5+ years of instrumentation and controls experience required, with a heavy industrial/process background (mining or mineral processing preferred).
- Extensive experience working in a project-based engineering environment (EPC, system integrator, or owner-operator).
- Strong hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems across complex projects.
- Develop and review P&IDs, control philosophies, and functional descriptions, and take ownership of key I&C deliverables.
- Oversee I&C deliverables including I/O lists and signal schedules, instrument datasheets and specifications, loop diagrams and wiring details, and functional descriptions and control narratives.
- Provide technical leadership in PLC and SCADA system design, configuration, and testing, including FAT, SAT, commissioning documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with process, electrical, and mechanical disciplines; engage directly with clients in technical discussions.
Salary: $150K+ per year, commensurate with experience.
