Description
Phoenix-based custom manufacturing delivers real impact every week, with designs moving quickly from SolidWorks into production. This Lead SolidWorks Designer opportunity is onsite in Phoenix, where your work will directly shape custom road cases for live entertainment and AV equipment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Lead SolidWorks Designer position include:
- 5+ years of SolidWorks experience and 3-5+ years of hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, or product development experience required
- Advanced SolidWorks proficiency including sketches, parts, assemblies, configurations, production drawings, and revision-controlled workflows
- Strong Design for Manufacturing (DFM) knowledge, with the ability to design products that move directly into production
- Mechanical assemblies and real-world fitment experience, including tolerancing and GD&T principles
- Experience generating manufacturing-ready files including DWG, DXF, STEP, and related formats
- Design custom road case solutions by researching and accurately modeling customer equipment for integration
- Collaborate daily with production to improve manufacturability and reduce build errors; coordinate with vendors and suppliers on purchased components
- Maintain organized file structures and revision control while managing multiple custom projects in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year ($105,000 maximum for an exceptional candidate).
