This CAM Applications Engineer opportunity is remote within the U.S., with a role built around helping customers get confidently up and running quickly. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAM Applications Engineer position include:
- Relevant experience in CAM programming, CAD/CAM applications, manufacturing engineering, or technical support for engineering software.
- Strong understanding of CAM workflows, tooling, machines, setups, fixturing/workholding, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with one or more major CAM systems such as Mastercam (top priority), Siemens NX, Autodesk Fusion, GibbsCAM, SolidCAM, or Creo.
- Act as the first technical point of contact for new CAM Assist customers after purchase.
- Own onboarding from kickoff through initial activation and first successful usage, aiming for customers to reach value in one to two meaningful touchpoints.
- Configure and onboard customer tool libraries, machines, post-related requirements, and other setup prerequisites.
- Lead onboarding calls and training sessions, guiding customers through installation, setup, and early workflow adoption.
- Troubleshoot installation/configuration/product usage issues, reproduce and triage bugs, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
