Join a highly specialized aerospace manufacturer as a Senior Aerospace Engineer - Aircraft Windshield Design & Certification in Fort Worth, TX, where you will help build an aircraft windshield and transparency manufacturing operation from the ground up. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity to work directly with ownership in a small, entrepreneurial environment while driving design, certification, manufacturing, testing, FAA approval, and production support for advanced aircraft windshield systems.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Aerospace Engineer - Aircraft Windshield Design & Certification position include:
- 8–10+ years of aerospace engineering experience preferred, with direct aircraft transparency experience
- Experience with laminated internally heated aircraft glass, windshield systems, pressurized aircraft transparencies, and aerospace manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of FAA certification, PMA approval processes, bird-strike testing, structural testing, and compliance documentation
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, Mastercam, and AutoCAD
- Design aircraft windshields, cockpit transparencies, laminated glass systems, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Lead or support FAA certification, regulatory approvals, PMA processes, and testing requirements
- Build internal manufacturing capabilities, support tooling, production setup, process development, and new product launches
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to help transition the company from repair/refurbishment into full manufacturing
Salary: Open-ended compensation structure, commensurate with experience.
