An exciting opportunity is available for a Heavy Civil Excavation Project Manager in Platte City, Missouri with a small, family-owned construction company specializing in earthwork, site utilities, excavation, grading, site preparation, water, sanitation, and sewer work for commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to join a non-corporate, team-focused environment where your field leadership, plan-reading ability, and project management experience will directly impact heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil Excavation Project Manager position include:
- 3–5 years of Project Management experience preferred, with a heavy civil construction or earthwork background required.
- Manage heavy civil earthwork construction projects with a strong on-site presence.
- Work closely with the estimating department throughout the project lifecycle.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinate field operations, project progress, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
- Preferred software experience includes HCSS HeavyBid, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Drone operation or photography ability is considered a plus.
- Must live near Platte City, MO and have a valid driver’s license.
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
