Description
A rapidly expanding Chicagoland development and general contracting firm is seeking a Construction Project Manager to manage diverse construction projects throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company delivering multifamily developments, tenant interiors, commercial properties, adaptive reuse, and ground-up builds ranging from small projects to major developments up to $100 million—all with no overnight travel required.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Building Construction Project Manager position include:
- Minimum of 10 years of building construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager.
- Experience managing multifamily, commercial, tenant improvement, adaptive reuse, and ground-up construction projects.
- Manage multiple active building construction projects from mobilization through final closeout.
- Coordinate Owners, Architects, Superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, City officials, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Monitor project budgets, job costs, cost reports, profit projections, change orders, subcontractor invoices, and payment processes.
- Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, including three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Review and enforce site-specific safety plans while performing regular jobsite safety inspections.
- Utilize MS Office, Outlook, and Procore construction management systems while maintaining clear project communication and documentation.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
