Description
A dynamic Chicagoland construction firm is seeking a Building Construction Superintendent to lead exciting ground-up and renovation projects throughout the Chicago area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-moving team known for delivering multi-family residential, adaptive reuse, tenant interior build-outs, commercial construction, and IHDA-funded projects ranging from $300,000 to $30 million.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Building Construction Superintendent position include:
- 5–10+ years of construction Superintendent experience with a preference for projects up to $30M.
- Experience with multi-family, commercial ground up, tenant improvement, adaptive reuse, and IHDA projects.
- Lead all on-site activities from mobilization through closeout while coordinating with Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules, manage manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
- Serve as the primary on-site safety leader by enforcing OSHA, company, and project-specific safety programs.
- Ensure work conforms to contract documents, approved submittals, codes, and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate multiple trades across union and non-union environments while leading trade, production, and safety meetings.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, photos, progress updates, and inspection records using construction software such as Procore, PlanGrid/Build, and MS Office.
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
