Description
Step into a precision manufacturing environment where your craftsmanship directly supports short-run and prototype production for demanding aerospace, medical, electronics, defense, and industrial markets. This Tool And Die Maker opportunity is based in Elk Grove Village, IL, with an exclusively onsite schedule at a growing facility.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tool And Die Maker position include:
- Prototype and short-run tooling experience required; 5+ years of Tool & Die Maker experience preferred.
- Kick press, four-slide, and punch press tooling experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in milling and precision grinding operations.
- Tool and die design and press tooling experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Perform precision grinding to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.
- Inspect completed work using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators).
- Troubleshoot tooling and production issues and implement corrective actions while following safety and quality standards.
Salary: $38-$42/hour, based on experience.
